10-20-17 Knit Night w/ Row House!

While I haven't blogged about knit night in awhile, they have continued month after month, bringing new knit+crochet friends out of the shadows to drink, swap tips, and be merry. If you're new to Knit Nights you can check out our group on Facebook here! They're monthly get togethers each month at a different well-lit bar. We try to switch burroughs between Manhattan and Brooklyn so that we can be fair to all our commuters! (shout out to all my F train fam).

I have met so many interesting, lovely, talented makers through Knit Night it continues to be so special to me! Come meet us!

Last night was no exception, but it was exceptional! Niree of @niree_knits organized a special knit night with Row House!! Row House is an online yarn store and knitting-scape for beginners! Incredibly well produced videos on anything from a slip knot to creating necklines for sweaters. You can expect, clear edited sound, beautifully manicured fingers, and most importantly, clear instructions with great visuals. Did I also mention there's free patterns? Oh yeah.

I had several negronis and learned more about the local yarns she carries and the stories of the farms, animals, and people she sources her yarns from. I think it's really important to learn more about where your yarn comes from, as some of you know from my previous posts.

If you haven't checked out Row House before I naturally recommend it, as a beginning knitter, especially in the word of distracting home made YouTube videos to sift through!
